Serra eases to maiden ATP title
Florent Serra
Florent Serra of France claimed his first ATP Tour title with victory over Russia's Igor Andreev at the BCR Open in Bucharest on Sunday.

The 24-year-old defeated last year's runner-up 6-3 6-4 in his first final at the senior level of men's tennis.

"I'm so happy to win this trophy," said Serra. "I had one difficult moment then everything was perfect for me."

Serra has spent much of this year playing on the Challenger circuit, winning titles in Mexico and Rimini.

"Serra's game was very solid and didn't leave me with too many options," said Andreev.

"Bucharest is good for me and I will come back next year when I hope to win the title."
