Llewellyn upbeat despite defeat
Rebecca Llewellyn
Rebecca Llewellyn and Anna Hawkins fell to defeat in the first round of the women's doubles at Wimbledon.

The Wales and England pairing lost 6-4 6-0 to Anastasia Myskina of Russia and Nana Miyagi of Japan.

Barry 19-year-old Llewellyn fell in the first round of the singles Monday, but insisted her SW19 time was positive.

"It's been one of the most valuable weeks of my career, I've learnt a hell of a lot and need to work on that to get my ranking up," said Llewellyn.

"We started off really well in the doubles, but they used their experience on the big points and then put us to bed in the second set.

"The crowd really got behind us and were worth a few points points, but they [Myskina and Miyagi] are used to dealing with that week-in, week-out and they just got on with it."
