Throughout Wimbledon the BBC Sport website and Radio Five Live will bring you a glimpse of life behind the scenes on the Sony Ericsson WTA tour, with regular diaries from players.
We start with Belgian Kim Clijsters, who enjoyed a fairly comfortable passage into the second round on Monday...
MONDAY - KIM CLIJSTERS
When I woke up on Monday, I looked straight out the window - grey and cloudy!
I had a healthy breakfast - not too much - then I sat on the couch and listened to some music. I'm staying at a house here so I didn't have to come out to the courts when it was raining.
Then I practised at one o'clock - I hit at Aorangi (Park) for about half an hour - had a shower in the locker room and then lunch.
I was third match on so I watched a couple of the other girls play. (Anastasia) Myskina was on my court so I was supporting her a little bit while she was out there.
I played after Greg Rusedski. He managed to win and then it was my turn. I went to the gym after the match and had a little bit of a workout, I did a short interval. Then it's press, dinner, a massage and bed.
This evening I'll probably go out somewhere. I'm not the only one staying at the house so it's not all up to me. I'll maybe try and meet up with some of the other players.
There's a few other Belgian players staying in the village so maybe we could go and have a drink and catch up. Just try not too waste too much energy, relax and have fun.
I'm not going to walk around for four hours or go to London or shop.
Even though we compete hard, away from the court I get along with a lot of girls - Svetlana Kuznetsova, Renee Stubbs, Anastasia Myskina, Vera Zvonareva.
We have a lot of fun in the locker room. There's a good group at the moment.
When we play each other, we know that we all want to win, but as soon as we come off the court we know not to focus on the tennis any more and we have fun.
When we're at the courts waiting for the rain or hanging out, we listen to music or talk about anything. Some of the male players maybe!
But whatever happens in the locker room, we'll keep in the locker room.
As far as music goes, a couple of my friends make CDs for me. Because I'm not home that often I don't really get caught up with the new songs.
My sister made a CD for me so I've been listening to that, Tracy Chapman, rock, R&B, some slow songs too. I'm not really into techno or dance music.
There are definitely a lot of text messages - my mobile phone is a good friend at the moment! When I go home I like to spend a lot of time with my family because I'm not at home that often.
When I was in school or my the first few years on the tour I didn't really like reading. It made me tired.
But in the last few months from when I was injured I started reading more and last week in Eastbourne I read The Da Vinci Code.
I was really getting into it so I bought a few more books. I like to just chill and watch TV, and change the channels a lot which makes my Dad and everyone else very annoyed.
I'm not playing on Tuesday but I'll probably still be up around 7am or 7.30am.
I'll practise for about an hour, then do a few more media things and go to the gym to look after my injuries - my knee and my wrist.
For us it's almost the same every day. As a sportsperson you need that discipline and that focus.
