Given her results so far, it is fair to say Marion Bartoli enjoys hard courts rather than the grass of Wimbledon.
The Frenchwoman won junior titles at the US Open, Australian Hardcourt Championships and Victorian Championships in 2001.
But she has yet to transfer her success to the senior circuit.
She enjoyed a promising start to 2005 with a semi-final spot at the first event of the year, the ASB Classic in Auckland.
The 20-year-old then went on to reach quarter-finals on hard-court surfaces at Canberra, Doha and Paris.
Her Wimbledon best is the third round last year, equalling her overall Grand Slam best at the US Open in 2002.
