Sharapova into top 10
Maria Sharapova
Maria Sharapova has moved into the world top 10 for the first time following her Wimbledon success.

The Russian teenager is now eighth in the WTA world rankings - an improvement on her previous best of 15th which she achieved before Wimbledon.

Serena Williams' defeat in Saturday's final means she falls to 14th, one place above sister Venus.

Despite missing Wimbledon, Justine Henin-Hardenne stays at number one in the world, ahead of Kim Clijsters.

Wimbledon men's champion Roger Federer keeps his place at the top of both the ATP entry and champions race standings.

Tim Henman stays in fifth in the entry rankings after his quarter-final defeat.
