Tim Henman will be hoping for a vast improvement in form when he takes on Ivo Heuberger on Friday.

The Briton opened his Wimbledon campaign with a nervy four-set win over the inexperienced Ruben Ramirez.

And fifth seed Henman said: "I've just got to make sure I play a little bit better than I did on Tuesday."

Other highlights for British fans on Friday include Elena Baltacha versus Jennifer Capriati and Greg Rusedski against Rainer Schuettler.

Schuettler is seeded eighth, but Rusedski is feeling confident of upsetting the German, who is far from comfortable on grass.

"I beat him on grass in 2001 but he's improved slightly since then," he said after his first-round win over Davide Sanguinetti.

"I've got a good idea about what I want to do out there and I think I have a really good chance to get through."

In the women's second round, Baltacha faces seventh seed Capriati on Centre Court after Henman's match.

"I can't wait - she's such a great player," said Baltacha.

"There's no pressure whatsoever on me, everything's on her. I'm just going to go out there and enjoy the battle. That's all I can do."

Meanwhile, fellow Briton Jane O'Donoghue meets Spain's Magui Serna on Court 13 at 1100 BST.

The pair are looking to keep up British representation in the women's event after the exits of Anne Keothavong and Emily Webley-Smith in the second round on Thursday.

In the first match on Court Six, Britain's Mark Hilton if hoping to follow up his win over former French Open champion Albert Costa with another upset over 25th seed Dominik Hrbaty.

But away from British interest, the highlight of the day will be Lleyton Hewitt's encounter with 2001 winner Goran Ivanisevic.

The Croat is playing his last tournament before retiring, and faces the player who succeeded him as Wimbledon champion in the third match on Centre Court.
