Tim Henman warmed up for Wimbledon by beating Nicolas Massu of Chile in an exhibition match in Buckinghamshire.
The British number one was short of match practice on grass after being beaten by Karol Beck in the second round at Queen's lats week.
But he beat Massu 6-3 6-4 in the Boodle and Dunthorne Champions Challenge in Stoke Poges in one hour, 10 minutes.
Queen's winner Andy Roddick, Carlos Moya and Goran Ivanisevic have also been taking part in the event.
"It was ideal and just what I needed," said Henman.
"Having only played one game on grass. It showed I'm still doing the basics
pretty well."
