Gamewatch: Myskina v Capriati
All the action as sixth seed Anastasia Myskina takes on seventh seed Jennifer Capriati in the French Open semi-finals.

Result: Myskina 6-2 6-2 Capriati

Second set:

Myskina 6-2 Capriati
Myskina hits a sensational crosscourt forehand to set up match point and she wins the match with an equally amazing two-handed backhand.

Myskina 5-2 Capriati
Myskina is one game away from an all-Russian final with Elena Demetieva. Capriati's game collapses, as Myskina ease to a 5-2 lead.

Myskina 4-2 Capriati
If Capriati wins this match it would be a minor miracle. The American appears to be showing no emotion when she either loses or wins a point. Unfortunately for her she is losing more. The final point of the game sees Capriati playing a poor forehand to give the Russian the break.

Myskina 3-2 Capriati
Capriati has break point but the American plays her baseline forehand a fraction too long. The American changes to her fourth racquet, but it fails to change the way she is playing as Myskina wins a long deuce battle.

Myskina 2-2 Capriati
The match appears to have settled down to a regular pattern, with the games going to serve. Myskina fails with a easy crosscourt and then hits a long forehand to give her opponent the game.

Myskina 2-1 Capriati
Yet again Myskina is not being forced to battle in her service games. Capriati has the ideal opportunity to bring the game to deuce, but with an open court in front of her she plays a relatively simple shot into the net.

Myskina 1-1 Capriati
Capriati finally plays a half decent game. She reads Myskina's cross-court slice shot to send the ball back in the opposite direction and win her service game.

Myskina 1-0 Capriati
Myskina is not being made to work very hard. Capriati just does not seem to be finding the right length on her baseline game. The Russian wins her service game with ease.

First set:

Myskina 6-2 Capriati
Capriati is having a nightmare. A double fault gives Myskina three set points. Capriati saves the first, but then a poorly played sliced shot is despatched with ease by her opponent. Myskina wins the first set.

Myskina 5-2 Capriati
Confidence appears to be growing in Myskina. She sends Capriati from left to right on the baseline and wins a love game with a beautifully controlled drop shot.

Myskina 4-2 Capriati
A superb sliced drop shot gives Myskina two break points. However, the tall Russian wastes it with an overhit forehand. Her second chance goes begging with another mishit forehand. However, Capriati is not showing her early tournament form and plays a long forehand to give Myskina another break.

Myskina 3-2 Capriati
Both players are playing some ugly tennis. The tension of the occasion appears to be getting to both. This time it is Myskina who seems to be suffering more. The final point of the game sees the Russian hitting a forehand into the net after she is made to stretch by the American - Capriati breaks back.

Myskina 3-1 Capriati
Myskina races into a 40-0 lead. Two unforced errors from the Russian forces the game to deuce. After a long battle, Capriati comes through to win her first game.

Myskina 3-0 Capriati
After a promising opening game, Capriati now appears to look leaden-footed. She has already made more than 10 unforced errors in three games. Myskina wins a love game.

Myskina 2-0 Capriati
Myskina, who is on the baseline, puts her American opponent under severe pressure. The Russian forces uncharactersitic errors from Capriati who has her serve broken.

Myskina 1-0 Capriati
Myskina is taken to deuce by the favourite Capriati, who looks in very good form following her win over Serena Williams. However, the Russian holds on to her serve to take the first game.
