Twice Britain earn a mini-break but each time Luxembourg breaks straight back. Britain earn a set point but are thwarted and then Luxembourg get one of their own. But Rusedski comes up with a good first serve to save it. Another set point comes Britain's way and this time they take convert it.

Rusedski looks vulnerable on his serve for the first time in the match. Britain are taken to deuce but manage to come through the game to force a diebreak.

The left-handed Muller produces two aces (one of which was called wide by the lines judge, who was over-ruled by the umpire) to force Greg Rusedski to serve for the first set.

For the first time, the British pair come under a bit of pressure on their serve but Henman's first serve clicks into gear when needed and the danger is averted.

Scheidweiler struggled with his first service game but does not drop a point in this one, securing the game with an ace.

Rusedski drops just one point on his serve as Britain consolidate their break.

Henman earns a break point with a ferocious drive at the body of Scheidweiler. The Luxembourg pair save that and then have to save another. Scheidweiler then comes up with an ace and a winning first serve to clinch the game.
