Pratt claims maiden title
Nicole Pratt
Fourth seed Nicole Pratt beat unseeded Russian Maria Kirilenko in Saturday's Indian Open final.

The 30-year-old Australian came through 7-6 (7-3) 6-1 to secure the first tour title of her career.

Pratt threw away a commanding 5-2 lead in the first set but the 17-year-old Kirilenko could not capitalise.

"It's been a long wait for a singles title, I'm delighted," said Pratt. "My experience gave me an edge over Maria in the final."
