Clement claims Metz crown
Arnaud Clement
Clement overcame a second-set lapse of concentration
Metz Open

Arnaud Clement won the second title of his career with a 6-3 1-6 6-3 win over Fernando Gonzalez.

The Frenchman capitalised on an error-strewn first-set display by Gonzalez but suffered a lapse in concentration in the second set.

However, fired up a patriotic crowd, Clement hit back in the third, clinching the decisive break at 3-2 before serving out for a fine win.

Clement, the fourth seed, claimed his only other title in Lyon in 2000.
