LTA to overlook McEnroe
John McEnroe is unlikely to become the new saviour of British tennis.

McEnroe has work and family commitments back in the USA
The American had been tipped to succeed Frenchman Patrice Hagelauer as performance director of the Lawn Tennis Association.

But LTA chief executive John Crowther says the former Wimbledon champion does not have enough time to devote to the job.

"I am not sure John McEnroe is able to give 100% to the job," said Crowther, who revealed the position could go to a woman.

Hagelauer announced in December he would be leaving the LTA to take charge of France's Davis Cup team.
