Henman to stay in Miami
Tim Henman receives treatment in Miami
Henman's next tournament is not until after Easter
Tim Henman has decided to stay in Miami and receive treatment on his injured neck, rather than risk flying home to Britain.

The world number six was forced to retire from his fourth round clash with Roger Federer on Tuesday when a neck injury proved too painful for him to continue.

Henman had originally damaged his neck leaving the players' locker room before playing Felix Mantilla on Monday.

Because I am here in Miami I might as well take advantage of the medical facilities

But rather than flying home for treatment the British number one has decided to stay put in the south Florida city to rest his neck.

"I do not think flying would do me much good," Henman said.

"I think there is some sort of spasm around my neck and my back, I just need to let that settle down.

"Because I am here in Miami I might as well take advantage of the medical facilities."

Henman's next scheduled appearance is due to be the Monte Carlo Masters starting on 15 April in the south of France.
