Agassi crushes Rusedski
Andre Agassi serves during his match with Greg Rusedski
Agassi wasted little time in moving into the next round
Britain's Greg Rusedski was comprehensively beaten by defending champion Andre Agassi in the Nasdaq-100 Open in Miami.

Agassi beat the Briton 6-3 6-1 in their second round encounter, taking just 23 minutes to race through each set.

The British number two served just five aces and was unable to disrupt Agassi's flow of winners, despite two breaks for rain.

Agassi won 16 of the 19 points on Rusedski's second serve and broke his opponent four times.

In contrast, Rusedski did not even have a break point.

The match was delayed for 30 minutes because of rain and was halted again after just two points.

Forty minutes later, the players resumed their match with both struggling to find any rhythm.

Rusedski double-faulted on set point to give the American the first set.

With Agassi leading 2-1 in the second, rain again began to fall causing another 45-minute delay.

The Las Vegan wasted little time when the players returned, breaking Rusedski twice as he won the final four games.

Agassi, whose early season has been hit by a wrist injury, will now meet Morocco's Younes El Aynaoui or Argentina's Agustin Calleri in the third round.
