Capriati will lead the US team

World number one Jennifer Capriati and Monica Seles have both been included in the US Fed Cup team to face Austria next month.

Also in the team is top-ranked doubles player Lisa Raymond and Meghann Shaughnessy.

Australian Open champion Capriati and nine-time Grand Slam winner Seles are expected to play singles.

Raymond, a three-time Slam doubles winner, will pair with singles number 13 Shaughnessy, a Fed Cup debutante.

US Fed Cup captain Billie Jean King outlined the strength of the team.

She said: "Not only do we have the top players in singles in Jennifer and in doubles Lisa but we also have a loyal veteran and formidable Fed Cup player in Monica and a rising star in Meghann."

Second-ranked Venus Williams and sister Serena are both fit but are once again absent from the line-up.

The tie will be played between 27-28 April in Charlotte, North Carolina.
