Rusedski and Groeneveld worked together in 1999
Greg Rusedski has teamed up with Sven Groeneveld in an effort to improve his world ranking.

The British number two decided to re-appoint his former coach and close friend after splitting with Brad Langevard.

"They are very happy to be working together again," Rusedski's spokesperson Sharon Park said.

"They know and appreciate each other's strengths and Greg is extremely confident that his world ranking will improve in the next few months."

Groeneveld was Rusedski's best man at his wedding two years ago.

In the last 12 months Rusedski, now ranked at 31st in the world, has sought assistance from Scott Brooke, Pat Cash and Langevard.

Since he last worked with Rusedski, Groeneveld has been employed by both Nicolas Kiefer and Tommy Haas.
