Davenport marches into final
Lindsay Davenport
Davenport was in impressive form on Saturday
Defending champion Lindsay Davenport swept past seventh seed Magdalena Maleeva 6-2 6-2, to move into the final of the £397,000 Generali Ladies WTA tournament in Austria on Saturday.

The win - the 11th in a row for the American - sets up a showdown with Jelena Dokic, who beat 19-year-old Iroda Tulyaganova of Uzebekistan.

Dokic needed an hour and 25 minutes to overcome Tulyaganova 6-4 6-0, who had upset second seed Justine Henin in the second round.

Dokic has reached the final in four of her last five tournaments.

"I'm very happy to have made it to a final again," Dokic said.

"She was a very difficult opponent, but I was very strong in the first and third sets. I was mentally stronger than she was."

Kim Clijsters
Clijsters is favourite to win Sunday's final
At the Seat Open in Luxembourg, Belgian Kim Clijsters held off a late challenge by South African Amanda Coetzer to secure a spot in the final.

Top seed Clijsters took an hour and 15 minutes to beat her opponent 6-3 6-4 on Saturday.

The world number five now faces American Lisa Raymond in the final of the $170,000 event.

In the other semi-final, Raymond cruised past Slovene Tina Pisnik 6-2 6-0.

Sixth seed Raymond was doubles champion at Wimbledon and the US Open this year and had no trouble with un-seeded Pisnik.

Clijsters is favorite to win the tournament final on Sunday.

Raymond, number 31 in world rankings, will make her first appearance at a singles final this year.

Clijsters halted Russian Anna Kournikova's comeback from injury on Friday, beating her 7-5 7-6 (2) in the quarter-finals on Friday.
