Kournikova takes it easy
Martina Hingis and Anna Kournikova were the number one doubles team in 1999
Hingis and Kournikova had an easy win in Moscow
Anna Kournikova was reunited with long-time doubles partner Martina Hingis on Monday and insisted she will be cautious on her return from injury.

The Russian joined up with world number one Hingis to beat Czech pair Klara Kukalova and Alena Vaskova 6-0 6-3 at the Kremlin Cup in Moscow.

"This was just my second match in a long time, so I think I handled myself really well tonight," said Kournikova.

"It's important now for me to concentrate on both the physical and mental part of my game."

Long break

Kournikova lost to fellow Russian Anastasia Myskina in the first round of the singles at the Leipzig Grand Prix last week after recovering from a foot injury.

Her only other match in almost nine months was a first-round defeat in San Diego in July.

"I had to get back into the rhythm of the game again," she said. "It was very difficult when I played last week for the first time after such a long break.

"I just hope that I don't have any more injuries and that my leg is fully healed.

"I will try to play as much as possible now because competing in matches will help me."
