Seles sees off Hingis
Monica Seles
Seles has beaten four top 10 players in two weeks
Monica Seles beat Martina Hingis to reach the final of the estyle.com Classic in Los Angeles on Saturday.

Seles overcame the world number one 6-3 1-6 6-4 and will now play Lindsay Davenport who saw off Nathalie Tauziat 6-1 6-2.

It was Seles' fourth victory over a top-10 player in two weeks.

Besides beating top-ranked Hingis in straight sets a week ago in the Acura Classic semifinals, Seles has wins over Jennifer Capriati and Serena Williams in her latest comeback from injury.

It's really great to break through some of the players who've given me trouble in the past

"It's really great to break through some of the players who've given me trouble in the past," she said.

Seles is playing for the third week in a row after being off the WTA Tour since May with a foot injury that caused her to miss the French Open and Wimbledon.

"The past 10 days I've played every single day. I'm really not sore, just tired," Seles said.

Seles, the sixth seed, broke Hingis three times to win the first set.

Hingis cut down on her errors to take the second but Seles broke again at start of the third and then saved three break points to go 2-0 up, a lead she never relinquished.

Double fault

In the other semi-final Tauziat held her first service game but second seed Davenport then took control to win six games in a row.

The American continued to dominate in the second set opening up a 4-1 lead.

And at 5-2 Tauziat committed her third and final double fault on match point to seal her fate.

Davenport will be seeking her fourth title of the year and third at this event in the final.
