Jade Jones has enjoyed senior success at the US and German Opens

Youth Olympic gold medallist Jade Jones doubled Great Britain's medal tally at the German Open in Hamburg.

The 17-year-old from Flintshire just missed out on the -57kg title, losing the final 12-8 against Croatia's 2007 World silver medallist, Ana Zaninovic.

Martin Stamper had claimed gold 24 hours earlier, beating Turkey's Servet Tazegul in the men's -68kg category.

Jones' silver medal added to the -57kg bronze won at last month's US Open and -62kg gold at the same event.

The GB squad will now prepare for the World Championships in Gyeongiu, South Korea, on 1-6 May.

They are due to take part in behind closed doors Test matches against South Korean and Spanish squads.
