Who have been the team to watch this season?

The champions are Partick Thistle. They hoisted the title trophy after yet another outstanding performance in the 4-0 victory against Stenhousemuir.

Queen's Park are relegated although they beat Queen of the South 1-0, because Forfar won. Forfar were saved from relegation.

Tell us the players to watch and your predictions for next season?

Arbroath FC are en route to be back where they belong.
Fraser MacFarlane, London

I'll look forward to the First Division, so that we can see just what Thistle are made of.
  Martin, Scotland
Partick Thiistle are going to win the Second Division. Nobody can stop them, they are 23 points clear of Stranraer and we beat them 3-0! We really belong in the First Division, maybe even the Premier, because we have a good manager and lots of good players. I'll look forward to the First Division, playing teams like Clyde, so that we can see just what Thistle are made of.
Martin, Scotland

As a native of Stenhousemuir, I would love to se them go up to the first and challenge the likes of Falkirk again. Partick have won the league for sure, but my main concern is whether Stenhousemuir can afford to go up, and whether they will they break hearts like they have always done, with inconsistant play near the end of the season. Though iintentions seems right with the four latest signings, can we do it without the usual let downs for the long suffering fans like myself who held a season ticket at 15 years old?
Mick Foster, USA Tennessee

It's definitely Partick for the title and Stranraer will go up with them. Arbroath and Berwick are the only threats to Stranraer, but if they get back to winning ways McLaren's team, the best footballing side in the division, won't be stopped!
Laurence Nelson, Edinburgh

Surely Thistle have the league in the bag now!
  Stewart Evers
As a Thistle fan I would be described as biased but I know that the jags will be in the Premier league within two seasons as we have a tremendous amount of potential. We have more fans than St Johnstone, Killie, St. Mirren, Motherwell, Dundee, etc. I would love also to see Arbroath to come to the first division because they have come so close far too often and are the only team to avoid defeat by us this season!
David Ferguson, Scotland

Surely it is time something happened positively at Palmerston. For too long, they have languished in the lower regions and for a team with such a good base as Dumfries, it is high time they made a name for themselves higher up the divisions. I live in eternal hope!
Ian A.L.Walker, Singapore

Surely Thistle have the league in the bag now! They can only throw it away but I reckon they are too good for the rest this season. Thank God for Lambie and a forward thinking Board. Away the Jags.....
Stewart Evers, USA (Glaswegian)

I think Thistle should win the league. We have the best squad and have been far more consistent than any other team in the league. Other teams have good patches and have climbed the league, yet no-one can maintain any sort of form (like Thistle can). Whilst we remain undefeated for 12 games, all the other teams are taking points off each other. The league is far from won, however...
Ricky Burns, UK

I hope that Queens Park and Berwick Rangers will do well, but I think "money" will win the division, so Partick will walk away with it.
Erik Voetelink, Netherlands

Rod McDonald
Rod McDonald - taking Thistle up?
Having seen most of the teams in the division twice, Partick Thistle will be worthy champions and Stranraer will go up with them. My own team Queens Park have done brilliantly since last season's promotion, although they have found goal scoring difficult, but a top five finish would be just reward for their efforts.
Alex MacLean, Glasgow

Thistle will win the league because they are on a good roll so far this season. Look at their supporters - over a thousand of them attend their games at Firhill and away games. This could be their season.
Gary Stuart, Somerset, England

Providing Berwick can stay clear of suspensions, I think there's no reason why they can't go up. They are just as good as Stranraer, Partick, Queen's Park and Arbroath, as shown in their results against the top teams. Up the Gers!
Paul Smith, Scotland

As long as Stranraer continue to keep scoring goals like they have been recently, then they should be there or thereabouts at the end of the season.
Iain Davidson, Bermuda

Arbroath are capable of promotion or winning the league
  Gary Callon, Scotland
Even though Arbroath have recently had to replace their manager the team is now playing well and the players have handled the departure of Dave Baikie and the appointment of John Brownlie professionally. Their recent performances have been good and they are capable of promotion or winning the league.
Gary Callon, Scotland

I think Stranraer will go up this season, they have got off to a good start and only faltered after a busy cup run.Their side is injury free and versatile, with a good goal scoring record from a number of players. They should under the guidance of Billy MacLaren maintain their current position at the top of the table.
A Hilton, Scotland

If the proposed takeover of Clydebank goes through, The Bankies have as good a chance as anyone else of winning the second division. I fancy Stranraer and Partick Thistle to be there or thereabouts as well.
Dave Lundberg, scotland

I think that Partick will win the league this year
  Ian McCandlish, Scotland
I think that Partick will win the league this year but Stranraer will be up there fighting until the very end of the season.
Ian McCandlish, Edinburgh, Scotland

Although Stranraer have had a shaky start to the season, I am certain they will be fighting for a promotion spot on the last day of the season.
Sandy Archibald, Canada

Partick Thistle should win the the Second Division title as in Danny Lennon, Ian Cameron, Derek McWillams, David McCallum and Martin Hardie they have the best midfield in the division. The game is won in midfield, but if that's not enough in Peter Lindau, Scott McLean and Paul McGrillen they have the best strikers in the league as well.
Steven Kane, Scotland,Glasgow

Good luck this year to Forfar Athletic. They have been down among the dead men too long
  Paul Reger, UK
With new owners coming in, I think Clydebank will make a quick return to Division One along with Partick.
Stewart McIlroy, Scotland

Despite their extra time loss to Arbroath in the League Cup I still think Partick Thistle have the squad to put up a good title assault. The former Motherwell keeper Micheal Brown, who I rate highly, is a good signing for Partick.
Cass Crockatt, Ireland

Queens Park have started impressively. John McCormack has an excellent young team and they will give their more illustrious opponents a run for their money
Alex MacLean, Glasgow

Good luck this year to Forfar Athletic. They have been down among the dead men too long and it's about time they started moving towards the upper echelons of Scottish football.
Paul Reger, UK

Stranraer will be difficult to beat this season. If only they can stop drawing so many games they might be in with a shout.
Matthew Hersee, England
