E-mail of the week 3

Sport Interactive receives thousands of your e-mails over the course of a sporting week.

Some make us laugh, some make us cry, some leave us utterly confused, while some are not fit for publication on a family website.

But there are some that stand out from the pile like a Roberto Carlos free-kick in a Bristol Rovers training session.

Here's your chance to vote for your favourite e-mail of the last seven days.

The results are in; and it's Mark O'Regan from Cork who is this week's proud winner.

Gold medal: Mark O'Regan, Cork (37.39%)

Could someone tell Ray Stubbs how to pronounce Ken Doherty's surname correctly. It's well beyond a joke at this stage. Just how blind can he be. There is no letter 'c' or 'k' in Doherty, yet he somehow finds one!

Neither is it pronounced Dough-erty like he's named after a type of bread. To think that Ken's doing some work in the studio for BBC and Stubbs still can't get his name right.

If he's too embarrassed to ask Ken directly then could someone please tell him to ask Dennis Taylor. For the love of God Dennis please correct him, because I have to change channel whenever I see his giant head, which significantly reduces my enjoyment of the otherwise excellent coverage (except for Willie Thorne).

Someone please ensure that anyone who can't pronounce Doherty correctly is kept away from Ken's matches as watching snooker with the sound turned off is not much fun.

Silver medal: Stephen Street, Utah, USA (28.41%)

What, pray tell, is snooker?

Bronze medal: Sid Viscose (25.80%)

So the Hammers board are appointing Trevor Brooking on some sort of interim basis are they? Genius.

Imagine the interview; "And what experience do you have of managing or coaching at this level, Mr Brooking?".

"Well... you know... great club... Academy of Football...educated left peg..." (mumbles incoherently). Do me a favour.

Wooden spoon: Rob Vluggen, Netherlands (8.41%)

Are there any rules for the type of shoes the players wear during the tournament?

If not, maybe it would be a good idea for the smaller players to wear plateau-shoes, like the ones Elton John used to wear, so they can reach further over the table.
