Should Fifa let the Old Firm go south?
Should the Old Firm join the Premiership?
Fifa has written off the chances of the Old Firm joining the English Premiership, contradicting an earlier Uefa statement.

Should Celtic and Rangers be allowed to join up?

Rangers chairman David Murray and Celtic counterpart Brian Quinn have come out in favour of joining the English Premier League.

Quinn reckons the Old Firm could be playing in the English league within three years, and says that informal talks have already been held with English clubs.

But world football's governing body, Fifa, says a move is unlikely to be permitted because they already have a viable league in which to play.

And in yet another twist, the Football League dismissed suggestions that the Old Firm should be allowed to enter the Worthington Cup.

Should the Glasgow giants be allowed to play in the English Premiership? Or should they remain in the SPL?

Make them start in the 3rd division and work their way up!

Just because their opponents cannot currently put forward a team capable of beating them does not mean that this is always the case

I don't think Celtic or Rangers should be allowed to join the Premiership. The point being that the Premiership doesn't need them. We have four or five teams capable of winning the league, and the addition of Celtic and Rangers would also mean getting rid of two other teams which have themselves earned their places in the Premiership.
Paul Steed, England

Definitely not. Just because their opponents cannot currently put forward a team capable of beating them does not mean that this is always the case. Why not go the other way and let Man Utd and Liverpool play in Scotland, it makes as much sense.
Keith, UK

If Fifa don't let the Old Firm play in England, surely they should try and sue Uefa for restraint of trade based on the difficult route they have to get into the Champions League. Maybe Uefa should think about the money it's missing out on from big teams in the smaller European countries which it blatantly discriminates against.
Paul Martin, England

I am Scottish, and a very proud Celtic supporter living in Berkshire. There is only one future for Celtic, and thats to join the English Premiership ASAP
