Your views: On Side
Hosted by John Inverdale, On Side is BBC One's weekly sports chat show.

Over the past series, the programme has featured the hottest guests and tackled the burning issues of the day.

Give us your views on this week's show and tell us your highlight of the series.

HAVE YOUR SAY

In the final show of the new series, Grand National winning jockey Richard Guest saddled into the studio to talk about his Aintree success.

Coventry manager Gordan Strachan ponders over a sorry season for the club.

Impressionist Alistair McGowan takes a pew on the On Side sofa, with a host of sporting take-offs including David Beckham and Gary Lineker.

And making a lasting impression is Watford boss Graham Taylor, who is hanging up his managerial boots at the end of the season.

What did you make of this week's guests and what they had to say?

And what has been your On Side highlight over the past series?

How can Carmen say that Alastair McGowan shouldn't have been on there? He was an integral part of a fantastic show, although I would have to agree that it probably is on too late for some people, and you have to wonder why since it really is a family show. Almost a sports version of Parkinson really, and that has to be a good thing.
Alex Allen, England

I really have enjoyed this series of On Side and the quality of guests have been superb. But rather than having four guests on the show and trying to cram in as much as possible in the time allowed, why not just have two quality guests? Then, the interviews could be more in-depth and not give the programme a rushed feeling.

BBC's John Inverdale
"Dare I say that John Inverdale is as good at interviewing as Parkinson"
Top show! Dare I say that John Inverdale is as good at interviewing as Parkinson. What a refreshing change to watch an interviewer that lets the guests do some talking and asks the right questions. My highlight of the seies was seeing Nasser Hussain after the excellent performance of his team during the winter. I saw his appearance in the previous series of the show immediately after the series defeat by New Zealand. It took a brave man to appear that night. I have been very impressed with Hussain as a leader and his ability to take the rough with the smooth.
Dave Forster, England

Why so late? Perfect prime-time television wasted and perhaps another example of BBC complacency.
Mr D Guppy, England

Why such a woefully short series? Maybe this explains the overloading of each show with guests - three is much better. Strachan and Taylor were fantastic but if I wanted to see Alistair McGowan's act I'd watch his own TV programme thanks.
Carmen Orgee, England

A fantastic show in which the viewer is treated to a fine mix of sporting chat, humour and insight into the lives of not just our British sporting heroes, but those of many other great sporting nations.

With a fine balance of guests from a wide variety of sports On Side is a guaranteed winner for the BBC.
Darren Kinsella, England

For me there is no better interviewer than John Inverdale
Paul Spencer, England
I thought that the last On Side in the series was very enjoyable. As I am a big football fan I always enjoy listening to managers' experiences of the game. Alistair McGowan's impressions are brilliant - he added a good bit of humour which everyone took in good spirit.
Daniel Robinson, England

What a superb show! It gets better every series; John Inverdale is great, the guests are even better. It's the only TV programme of the week that I actually remember to watch - can't wait for the next series.
Mr D Gupta, England

I rushed home to watch the show. For me there is no better interviewer than John Inverdale but I was especially looking to see if John was going to refer back to Graham's very early days of management at Lincoln City!

I could watch and watch On Side; for me it is clearly head and shoulders above all talk shows and long may it continue.
Paul Spencer, England

Absolutely wonderful show. John Inverdale is one of the best all-round presenters on the small screen at this moment in time. I hope the BBC recognise what a treasure they have. He is polished, smart with charisma in abundance. He should be getting more air space - give Sue Barker and Gary Lineker a rest and give the best man for the job the hot seat. I will miss my Monday nights with On Side and look forward to the autumn for the new series.

Congratulations to everyone involved with this programme, you have the perfect combination. It's a real winner but the only thing is, for lots of people it's on too late. Not for me though!
Helene Henderson, Edinburgh, Scotland
