Where does the money go?
Money raised will be split two ways
Children and young people across the UK and around the world will benefit from every penny raised through Sport Relief.
In the UK, Sport Relief money will go to projects using sport to bring together young people living in areas divided by tensions and violence. These projects aim to try and break through hatred and hostility and help children develop relationships and understanding. The money raised will also help children and young people who have lived with trauma, violence and abuse to rebuild their confidence and self esteem through playing sport. Around the world, Sport Relief will also bring much needed help to child soldiers, HIV/AIDS orphans, street children and children working in the sex industry. They will be supported in finding shelter and safety, and helped with learning the skills and the strength that will build themselves a better future. So every penny counts towards building a brighter future.
