Uefa have said the fourth Uefa Cup slot will remain with the Scottish Cup

An appeal by the Scottish FA to award one of Scotland's Uefa Cup slots to the fourth-placed team in the Premier League has been rejected.
At present, if the Scottish Cup winners have already qualified for European competition, the beaten finalists automatically qualify for the Uefa Cup.
The SFA asked Uefa to award the slot to the league, but were rejected because the Scottish Cup was already underway.
However, the place will go to the SPL at the end of season 2009/10.
