Pre-match favourites Linlithgow Rose clinched the OVD Scottish Junior Cup for the second time in their history against Auchinleck Talbot on Sunday.

A crowd of nearly 7000 turned out at Firhill to witness an entertaining game.

A tight match was decided by Jimmy Creaney's opportunist winner in the 63rd minute after a defensive mix-up on the Auchinleck 18-yard line.

Jim Sinnet's Rose team last won the trophy in 1965.

It was the first time that six-time winners Auchinleck Talbot have lost in a Scottish Junior Cup final.
