McDowell on the move
Ramould Andela failed to turn up at Firhill
Murray McDowell's father has bought out his contract with Cowdenbeath so the striker can win himself a long-term deal with Partick Thistle.
But Thistle will not be signing Romuald Andela Midoukna after the former Cameroon Under-21 international failed to turn up at Firhill as planned. The 22-year-old McDowell was on trial with Hearts last season without winning a move. He did help Cowdenbeath win promotion from the Third Division.
McDowell has signed a month's contract with Partick and went straight into John Lambie's side to face Raith Rovers in the Challenge Cup at Stark's Park on Tuesday. Andela had impressed on trial against Partick for Glentoran during close season. He had also agreed a one-month deal with Lambie, but the Partick manager has given up on the African after he failed to turn up over the weekend.
