Jones has learnt lesson - Shane
Kicking coach Neil Jenkins doubts Wales boss Warren Gatland will carry out his threat to drop Alun-Wyn Jones for being sin-binned against England.
England scored 17 points during the lock's absence for tripping Dylan Hartley in Wales' 30-17 defeat.
Asked if he expected Gatland to carry out the threat, Jenkins replied: "No, I don't think so."
BBC pundit and ex-Wales captain Eddie Butler also believes Jones should face Scotland on Saturday.
Gatland was furious in the immediate aftermath of the game at Twickenham, saying Jones could lose his place in the starting line-up when Wales will look to bounce back at the Millennium Stadium against Scotland on Saturday.
"It's something we're going to have to look at next week," said Gatland.
But on Monday former Wales and British and Irish Lions star Jenkins said: "I think we've all made mistakes and Alun made one on the weekend and we've had other players in the past that have been sin-binned and we've come through it unscathed.
"On Saturday we didn't, we conceded some points, but it's one of them things. I think we learned from it and we move on.
"I think sometimes some things are said, aren't they? Alun's a fantastic rugby player.
"He's made a genuine mistake and we've got to accept that, deal with it and move on and hopefully discipline-wise we'll be fine next Saturday."
Ex-Wales captain Eddie Butler urged Warren Gatland not to drop Jones, telling Scrum V: "Warren Gatland should be applauded for being that candid. I think it's great.
Of course to give 17 points away with 14 players is a massive thing. But I wouldn't try to pin it on one person
Ex-Wales captain Kingsley Jones
"And the first thing I'd do is put Alun-Wyn Jones down on the next team list and say "make sure you're man-of-the-match next week"."
Another ex-Wales captain, Sale boss Kingsley Jones, told Scrum V: Kingsley: "I personally don't think that that was the reason we lost the game. I think it's had a massive impact in the game, of course.
"But we were our own worst enemies. Our set-piece wasn't good. We had opportunities to win the game and opportunities to score tries and we forced the game in the last 10 minutes and with a bit of composure as well we could have gone on and won.
"So of course to give 17 points away with 14 players is a massive thing. But I wouldn't try to pin it on one person.
"I'm not saying Gatland's done that because it has had a massive impact in the game, but it certainly looks like that."
*The Wales team announcement will be live on all BBC Sport Wales platforms from 1300 GMT on Tuesday, 9 February.
