Maule says he was impressed by the facilities at the Scarlets
Newport Gwent Dragons centre Gareth Maule has signed a two-year deal with the Scarlets after failing to command a regular place at Rodney Parade.
The 21-year-old, who has represented Wales at every age-group level, will replace Cardiff Blues-bound Gavin Evans in the squad at Parc y Scarlets.
Pontypool-born Maule has played 18 times for the Dragons in three years, but has not featured this season.
"I had an offer I could not turn down from the Scarlets," said Maule.
"It is a fresh start for me," he told the South Wales Evening Post.
"The facilities there were a massive factor.
"I met with [Scarlets coach] Nigel Davies and he showed me around and told me all about their plans."
