Wales struggled from their opening defeat against Samoa
Wales endured a difficult time at the George Sevens in South Africa, the second leg of the International Rugby Board World Series.
Coach Paul John's side lost their three opening games on Friday, falling 31-5 to Samoa, 19-12 to Kenya and 19-17 against Portugal.
Saturday began with a 26-24 Bowl quarter-final victory over Zimbabwe.
An exciting semi-final saw Wales fall to Australia 22-19, Richard Kingi denying Wales' Tal Selley a late try.
Wales also exited at the semi-final stage of the Bowl in last week's season opener in Dubai, falling 24-0 to Portugal.
