Rickard, a 36-year-old school teacher, broke Gareth Llewellyn's record to become Wales' most capped rugby player.
But Non Evans, making her first Wales start since a broken leg last year, stole the show with two tries and two conversions.
Naomi Thomas' try opened the scoring, with Mellissa Berry's late touchdown wrapping up the victory.
