Maesteg win to stay in top flight
Maesteg hung on to their Principality Welsh Premiership place with a 19-6 win in Saturday's play-off against Division One champions Bonymaen.

Bonymaen had a terrible start with captain and hooker Darren Poland sent off for a head-butt on three minutes.

The Swansea side also had full-back Darril Williams sent-off along with Maesteg wing Neil Dixon for fighting.

Maesteg scrum-half Kevin Ellis scored the game's only try in a fractious game also littered with yellow cards.

A final blow for Bonymaen saw wing Lyndon Johnstone carried off with a broken leg in a match played at the neutral Talbot Athletic Ground.

The rest of Maesteg's points came from the boot of fly-half James Dixon, while Bonymaen had two settle for two Gareth James penalties and at least another season back in Division One
