Edinburgh v Connacht (Sat)
Murrayfield, Edinburgh
Saturday, 10 September
Kick-off: 1600 BST

Prop Allan Jacobsen makes way for summer signing Dave Hewett in Edinburgh's starting XV for the Celtic League visit of Connacht on Saturday.

Rob Dewey has been handed the number 12 jersey in place of Peter Jorgensen.

Connacht make one change from their opening win over the Blues with Ray Hogan coming in at loose-head prop in place of Dan McFarland.

Hogan was an original selection for last weekend's game but had to miss the game because of a knee injury.

McFarland moves to the bench in place of Adrian Clarke with scrum-half Tom Tierney coming into the squad in place of Conor O'Loughlin.

Gunners captain Chris Paterson has warned that last week's surprise win away to Llanelli was no fluke.

"We were delighted to start with a win," he said. "There is a lot more to come from us though and there is a lot of confidence in the squad."

Edinburgh claimed their first-ever win at Stradey Park, a 21-15 triumph to open the season in style.

Everything came together really well against Llanelli
Edinburgh captain Chris Paterson

"We are aware we are not where we want to be, we didn't play to our strengths," he said.

"We can play a lot better and will have to do that on Saturday against Connacht.

"Everything came together really well against Llanelli, but there were a lot of mistakes too.

"However, we have a massive opportunity this weekend to continue our season well."

Coach Frank Hadden has also urged his players to raise their standards against the Irish team.

"We were delighted to get the win but are under no illusions - it wasn't a great performance," he said.

"One of the plus points was the level of composure and confidence in what was, essentially, a fairly messy encounter."
