Glasgow Warriors have signed second row forward Andy Newman on a two-year contract from Ospreys.
Glasgow's new signing Andy Newman in action for Ospreys
The 28-year-old had been at Ospreys for three years and has played for Wales at under-21 and A levels.
The 6ft 7ins lock said: "When I spoke with (head coach) Sean Lineen, I was really pleased with the club's ambition and what he had to say.
"They've had a tough season but given the changes and the new signings, the future sounds very positive."
Lineen said: "Andy is just the type of player Glasgow need - experienced and hard-nosed and I know he will make a huge difference to our forward play."
Flanker John Barclay has also pledged his future to the Warriors by signing a two-year full-time deal.
"My first year was tough as I was pretty inexperienced coming into senior rugby straight from school but I have thoroughly enjoyed it and it has been really beneficial to my game.
"The professional day-in, day-out training shows when we play, for example, for the under-21s when guys like myself, John Beattie and James Eddie can bring the elements we've learned at the club to assist the guys who are not playing rugby professionally.
"Working with such experienced and talented players like Jon Petrie and Donnie Macfadyen has also been great for my game and I'm looking forward to the coming season with Glasgow."
Lineen added: "John has a lot of potential. He's a dynamic player and we're looking for him to build on what he's already achieved this season."
