Glasgow found themselves 10-0 down early in the match, after a Richard Rees touchdown and a conversion and penalty from Shaun Connor.
A try from Joe Beardshaw and points from Calvin Howarth gave Glasgow the lead before Connor made it 13-13.
Kenny Logan and Rory Lamont set Glasgow up for victory in the second half before the Ospreys' late show.
The visitors took the lead after three minutes when scrum-half Rees raced down the blind side for an easy try, while Connor converted and added a penalty.
Howarth hit back Glasgow with a penalty following a ruck offside and added a second soon after.
Moments later, scrum-half Graeme Beveridge's jinking run set up Glasgow team-mate Beardshaw who took the short
pass to ease over line.
Howarth converted before Connor levelled the scores at the break.
Logan produced another Glasgow converted try after the break following a 30-metre sprint.
But Ospreys pegged the home side back again when prop Andrew Millward went over and substitute Jones added the conversion.
Lamont bagged the third Glasgow try after great work by Andy Henderson.
Howarth converted, but Terblanche's late burst and Jones' conversion made sure the visitors did not go home empty handed.
