Colin Charvis has fallen in and out of favour with the selectors more than most this season.
The bulky back-row forward went from captain to being dropped in no time at all, before winning his place back and some respect for a string of solid performances.
Now back in the fray, he looks set to be a tournament stalwart for coach Steve Hansen.
Charvis, who was also a part of the British and Irish Lions tour of Australia, has more than 50 caps to his name.
Despite being almost 17 stone, the former Welsh skipper shows great mobility around the pitch. And Hansen has the option to use him anywhere across the back-row, but blind-side is his preferred role.
Charvis only just managed to make it to the World Cup. Currently without a club, a restaurant stumped up £10,000 as part of a sponsorship deal.
