Few players are more recognisable in world rugby than Tana Umaga.
The aggression and determination etched on his face, coupled with his flowing locks, have become familiar images since making his debut six years ago.
A stalwart of the national side, he came close to winning the captaincy only to lose out to Reuben Thorne.
Captain of the Wellington Hurricanes, he will be one of the All Blacks' key leaders on the field throughout the tournament.
Umaga is renowned for his searing pace, scoring and enormous power at breaking the tackle, as well as heavy tackling on his own part.
He has already passed the half-century mark for Test caps and, at 30, still has a fair few appearances to come.
