Healey flies home
Austin Healey
Healey had initially flown out as cover
Leicester utility back Austin Healey has flown home to England after spending less than 48 hours in Australia.

Healey initially arrived down under as cover for the injured Iain Balshaw and Josh Lewsey.

But on Wednesday both players were declared fit and Healey, who had missed out on the initial England squad, was immediately sent back home.

He will be available for play for the Tigers against Sale on Saturday.

Lewsey had been struggling with a thigh injury, while Balshaw had been hampered by a knee complaint.

Healey is the third player England have flown out so far.

Wasps second row Simon Shaw arrived in Australia last week after Danny Grewcock had to pull out of the tournament with a broken bone in his hand.

Shaw went straight onto the bench for the Wales game, but Bath scrum-half Martyn Wood was not so lucky.

He flew halfway round the world as a precaution, but England did not require his services and he flew home two days later without ever meeting the squad.
