Charron is one of Canada's most revered players.
He is arguably the best forward the North American side have ever had.
Charron scored a try against New Zealand in the 1991 World Cup quarter-final and two, against Romania and Australia, in the 1995 tournament.
At the last World Cup his scoring form continued against Namibia.
He has been in and out of the Canada captain's job on many occasions over the last decade.
Charron passed the 50-cap mark in August 1999 against Wales and a year later won back the captaincy.
One of the best moments of his career came when he skippered his side to a 26-23 win over Scotland in 2002.
