73mins: Referee Joel Jutge fails to award a yellow card, despite yet another US infringement.

71mins: The US are camped inside their own half as the Fiji pressure begins to tell.

69mins: Fiji number nine Moses Rauluni makes a blistering break from a line-out, but the US defence holds firm.

64mins: Seconds later the US are penalised again. Little's kick goes over off the post. Fiji 19-13 USA

62mins: A superb five minutes of play is brought to an end with another US penalty. Vunibaka steps and dances through the US defence but is 'sacked' - NFL-like - by Kort Schubert.

59mins: Hodgetts is penalised in front of his own posts after deliberately falling forearm-first onto Koli Sewabu. Little gives Fiji the lead. Fiji 16-13 USA

56mins: Both sides make a number of changes as the match enters its final quarter. The US begin to give away more penalties and are again pushed back into their 22.

53mins: Api Naevo finishes off a superb 50 metre move with Vunibaka, Delasau and Tuilevi all involved.
Little adds the extras. Fiji 13-13 USA

48mins: Fiji earn a well deserved penalty, after Dave Hodgetts is found handling in the ruck. Little takes his side within a converted try.

43mins: Riaan van Zyl touches down after a magnificent kick ahead from Hercus, who adds the extras.

40mins The second-half starts poorly as the referee blows up for a crooked feed in the scrum, lineout and a forward pass in the space of two minutes.


40mins: The whistle blows to bring an end to a disappointing first-half for the favourites.

36mins: Fiji touch down through lock Ifereimi Rawaqa after some intense pressure, but are called back for blatent crossing.

35mins: US full-back Paul Emerick suffers a blow to the head but recovers to take his place on the field.

24mins: Hercus doubles the US lead, after Fiji are again penalised in front of their 22.

22mins: Fiji full-back Alfred Uluinayau puts in a superb last-ditch tackle on US centre David Fee.

18mins: Delasau continues to make a huge contribution for Fiji, but again the US defence holds firm just outside their 22.

15mins: Fiji continue to make a number of basic errors, but look by far the more dangerous in attack.

11mins: Fijian winger Vilimoni Delasau dances through four US tackles, but knocks on in the tacvkle to the disappointment of a packed Suncorp Stadium.

10mins:Fiji opt to kick to the corner after winning a kickable penalty but are penalised for not releasing.

8mins: Hercus kicks straight from outside his 22. Little puts up a huge up-and-under but Fiji knock-on.

6mins:Mike Hercus gioves the USA the lead with a well taken penalty from wide on the left.

4mins: US captain Dan Lyle shows his class with an impressive run through the Fijian midfield.

2 mins: Little makes a good break with Seru Rabeni coming close after a strong run.

Match kicks-off 0800 Fiji opt for Nacanieli Seru ahead of Richard Nyholt at tighthead prop in a late selection decision.

The pair had been bracketed in the starting line-up until veteran Joeli Veitayaki passed a fitness test.
