Matt Williams says that Ulster have been threatening such a superb performance for a long time as they defeat Munster 22-6 at Ravenhill.
Ulster (15) 22 Tries: Nagusa 2, Boss Con: Humphreys 2 Pen: Humphreys
Munster (6) 6 Pens: Warwick 2
Fijian winger Timoci Nagusa scored both of Ulster's tries
Leaders Munster suffered their first defeat of the Magners League campaign as bottom club Ulster clinched a surprise win at Ravenhill on Saturday.
Fijian flyer Timoci Nagusa was the star with two first-half tries which sent the northern province on their way.
Replacement scrum-half Isaac Boss got Ulster's third touchdown midway through the second half and a superb Ian Humphreys conversion made it 22-6.
The win takes Ulster above Connacht and the Dragons in the league basement.
It was just a second win of the 2008-09 campaign for coach Matt Williams and should be a huge lift for an Ulster side whose confidence had been hit by a run of poor results.
Things did not get off to a great start as fly-half Niall O'Connor failed to make the most of a decent penalty chance and Paul Warwick landed a more difficult opportunity for the Heineken Cup holders.
O'Connor had to go off with a hip injury on 14 minutes and Humphreys was his replacement.
Munster coach Tony McGahan said he was disappointed with his team's performance in the 22-6 defeat by Ulster on Saturday night.
Former Leicester man Humphreys got Ulster off the mark with a 22nd-minute penalty and four minutes later they got the first of their tries.
Nagusa ran on to a slip inside from Paddy Wallace and charged on to score behind the posts with Humphreys converting.
Wallace then just failed to get over for a try but in the 32nd minute Nagusa struck again with a powerful run to the left corner.
Munster were still in touch but Ulster secured additional breathing space in the 60th minute as Boss, who had only been only for about five minutes, broke after a scrum and just made the line.
