Ulster's recent dismal form continued with a 24-10 defeat by Glasgow in the Magners League at Ravenhill on Friday.

The Scottish side led 10-0 at the break thanks to a Dan Parks penalty and Parks then converted a Rory Lamont try.

John Beattie and John Barclay added second half tries with Parks converting both while Andrew Trimble and Andy Maxwell crossed the line for Ulster.

David Humphreys replaced Paddy Wallace in the second half after Wallace missed attempts at a penalty and a conversion.

The Irish fly-half missed a third minute penalty attempt but Parks landed a 28th minute kick between the posts.

The Warriors were rewarded for their pressure and possession with Lamont's try just before half-time which Parks converted.

Steve Swindall was sin-binned at the start of the second period and Wallace carved out an opening for Trimble to make the touchdown on 50 minutes but then failed to convert.

Beattie ran through for an intercept try after Humphreys' misplaced pass, Parks converted and then Barclay's 68th minute try and another Parks conversion completed the Glasgow scoring.

Humphreys set up Maxwell for a consolation try in the final minute of normal time.

Ulster coach Mark McCall:
"We deserved to lose to be honest and things have gone from bad to worse over the last couple of months.

"We lack confidence at the moment, we don't believe in ourselves and it has been like that for a while.

"The players are giving it everything but it is just not happening for us at the moment.

"I deserve to be criticised as we have not been good enough over the last couple of months.

"We have a game to prepare for against Edinburgh in two weeks and hopefully we can finish the season with a victory."
