Ulster jumped back to the top of the Magners League with a bonus-point win over a dismal Ospreys at Ravenhill.

The home side ran in four tries through Rory Best, Tommy Bowe, Paul Steinmetz and Neil Mcmillan, with fly-half David Humphreys kicking another 23 points.

Lee Byrne put the Ospreys ahead with a seventh-minute try, but Ulster fought back to lead 19-7 at the break.

The Welsh side totally folded after the break as Ulster romped to a deserved win in front of a 10,000-strong crowd.

Humphreys notched an early penalty for Ulster but Gavin Henson's break gave Byrne the space to cross, with James Hook adding the extras.

A wind-assisted Humphreys penalty from inside his own half cut the deficit before Ulster edged ahead in the 27th minute.

From a well-worked line-out move, man-of-the-match Isaac Boss reversed play back to hooker Best, who rumbled over in the corner.

Ospreys number eight Ryan Jones was yellow-carded in the 33rd minute for continually lying on the ball, and Humphreys took full advantage with a 48-metre penalty.

The former Ireland international then made further use of the wind at his tail with a second enormous effort from well inside his own half to put his side 19-7 ahead.

Ospreys' problems were further exacerbated when Alun Wyn Jones followed Jones to the bin for a blatant obstruction on the lively Boss.

Ulster began the second half in exquisite style with a flowing move finished off by replacement Bowe.

A brilliant break by Boss on the hour set up Steinmetz for Ulster's third try.

Then eight minutes later, replacement McMillan swallow-dived in for the bonus touchdown.
