Borthwick will captain both England and Saracens next season

Saracens have announced that England skipper Steve Borthwick will captain the team next season. Last season the 29-year-old second row shared the role with inside centre Andy Farrell, who has now retired and joined the Vicarage Road coaching staff. South African back row Wikus van Heerden will be the new vice-captain. "Steve Borthwick personifies everything on which we want to model this club," director of rugby Brendan Venter told the Premiership club's website. "His integrity, work ethic and leadership qualities make him a perfect choice as captain," he added. "Wikus van Heerden has the same qualities and we're lucky to have a number of players within the squad who have captained their country, club or province. "We couldn't ask for two better players than Steve and Wikus to lead the side."
