Andrew Bishop has been a regular in the Ospreys since his 2005 debut

Wales centre Andrew Bishop has signed a contract extension with Magners League champions the Ospreys. The 25-year-old has added two years to his current deal, keeping him at the Liberty Stadium until 2014. Bishop has made almost 130 appearances for the Swansea-based region since making his debut against Borders in February 2005. "I'm still young with hopefully my best days in front of me and I'm still improving," he said. Bishop has made 127 appearances in just five-and-half years, placing him fifth in the region's all-time appearance list, scoring seven tries. He has also won 11 Wales caps, the latest of which came against New Zealand during Wales' two-Test tour earlier this year. Ospreys head coach Sean Holley said: "It's no secret that I've been a big fan of Andrew's for a long time. "He has certainly developed over the last few years into a true international-class player. This contract is a just reward for the progress he has made. "He is a model for any young player out there who aspires to play international rugby. He's come up through the system, he's played junior rugby, he's played in the (Welsh) Premiership, and when his opportunities have come along, he's made sure he has taken them."
