Northampton Saints Bruce Reihana not ready to retire

Reihana certain of Saints quality

Northampton Saints wing Bruce Reihana says he wants to continue playing top-flight rugby beyond this season.

The 34-year-old is in his testimonial year and is waiting to see if the Premiership club offer him a new contract beyond 2011.

Reihana told BBC Look East: "I still love playing the game, the physicality, the training and the camaraderie.

"When my body and mind go, that's when it's time to give up and it's certainly not yet."

The former New Zealand international is the longest-serving player in the Saints squad and signed his fourth contract with the club in January 2010.

It's not that we're not good enough but errors are costing us dearly

He was one of few high-profile players to stay with the Saints when they were relegated to National League One in 2007.

"England is my home now," he said. "I want to play for as long as I can over here."

Saints lie fifth in the Premiership after five defeats but Reihana believes the current squad are capable of getting back to winning ways before their team-mates playing in the Six Nations return.

"Our defence has to bear the blame. Our line has been broken so many times this season, which isn't like us," Reihana added.

"It's not that we're not good enough but errors are costing us dearly."
