Rhodri Gomer-Davies
Gomer-Davies must become more consistent, says Paul Turner

Rhodri Gomer-Davies has extended his contract at Newport Gwent Dragons for a further two years.

The ex-Wales age grade star and Northampton centre will stay at the Welsh region until the end of the 2010-2011 season.

Dragons boss Paul Turner said: "Rhodri must develop his consistency to catch the eye of the national selectors."

Carmarthen-born Gomer-Davies, 25, said: "I'm ready to step it up another level and really improve."

606: DEBATE
Gomer-Davies joined from Saints at the beginning of last season after suffering a serious groin injury and made 19 appearances for the region.

He said: "While I was happy with my rugby last season after a carrying a groin injury I knew I needed to concentrate on regaining my fitness and getting some more rugby under my belt."

Turner added: "Rhodri had a very good first season for the Dragons. He's equally adept at 12 or 13 and this season will prove a big one for him."
