Newcastle Falcons have signed Bristol centre Luke Eves on a two-year deal.

The 21-year-old made the final of his 59 appearances for his hometown club in their Championship final play-off defeat by Exeter on Wednesday.

Falcons head coach Alan Tait said: "Luke is widely regarded as being one of the most promising young centres in the country.

"Having already played two seasons in the Premiership he knows what it is all about at that level."

England Under-20 cap Eves had a year left on his deal at the Memorial Stadium.
