Falcons pair sign new contracts

Williams has scored five tries in nine Premiership games for Newcastle

Newcastle Falcons duo Danny Williams and Rob Miller have signed new contracts at Kingston Park.

Winger Williams, 22, has agreed a two-year deal and fly-half Miller, 19, has signed a one-year-contract.

Williams has impressed since switching codes after joining the Falcons from Leeds Rhinos in July 2008.

"I've really enjoyed my first year of rugby union," Williams said. "I feel like I'm making good progress but I still have a lot of learning to do."

Williams has scored five tries in nine Premiership games for Newcastle.

Falcons director of rugby Steve Bates said: "Danny has adapted well since switching and we are delighted that he has signed this new deal."
